The Montclair Bistro is tucked into the wooded hillside in the affluent area of the Oakland Hills. Built in 1948, the style of the building is French Provincial with much attention paid to detail-from the weather vane atop the peaked roof, the half-timbering, to the fieldstone laid among the weathered bricks along the walls and pathways.
Inside, discreet artwork on speckled walls in tones of soft leaf green and butterscotch create an elegant understated backdrop for the chef’s cuisine. Unobtrusive dark carpeting, comfortable chairs upholstered in a soft, dark fabric, and white linen-and-butcher-paper-covered tables complete the intimate, homelike setting.
From the moment you enter through our doors, the well-trained staff at the Bistro will greet you warmly as a treasured friend, and attend to you and your guests throughout your meal with just the right mix of professionalism and friendliness.
